BACKDOOR SLIDER
A pitch that appears to be out of the strike zone, but then breaks back over the plate.
BALK
An illegal act by the pitcher with a runner or runners on base, entitling all runners to advance one base.
BASE
One of four points which must be touched by a runner in order to score a run.

A team member in uniform who is stationed in the coach's box at first or third base to direct the batter and the runners.
